Human Resources Supervisor (Pasadena & Beaumont)

Summary of Description:

The Human Resources Supervisor assists in the following functional areas as directed by the Manager Human Resources: day-to-day operations, departmental and organization development, employee relations, training and development, benefits, compensation, and employment of assigned business unit.

Duties:

  • Interprets human resources policies, practices, and work rules for assigned employees, supervisors, and applicants; assists in-plant employees with human resources programs and processes.
  • Regularly visit with clients to maintain and enhance client relations.
  • Prepares bids, proposals, and salary assessments per client request.
  • Manage staffing needs of assigned clients and division.
  • Work with Client to obtain job requirements.
  • Manage assigned personnel including counseling, corrective action, evaluations, recommendations, and implementation of increases.
  • Work with clients and managers on performance improvement plans and troubleshoot various issues.
  • Assist in termination of employees including paperwork and benefits transition.
  • Attend and present HR related message at employee safety meetings to create ReCon culture with employees.
  • Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, talent management, and employment law.
  • Identify and source potential opportunities with companies through research, referrals, networking, and cold calling.
  • Initiate relationships with prospective clients by researching jobs and organizations and connecting with key stakeholders.
  • Present information related to services and utilize business development strategies to capitalize on new opportunities and drive growth.
  • Schedule and conduct clients’ meetings to introduce new clients to the value of ReCon, with an end goal of engaging them to utilize our services as they relate to ReCon Management, Engineering, Survey, and Inspection divisions.
  • Responsible for increasing and maintaining key decision makers information in database. Collaborate with recruiters on client staffing needs.
  • Assist in interviewing, onboarding, and implementation of the new hire experience. Use social and professional networking sites to identify and source candidates.
  • Travel as required, up to 50%, mostly local 
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, or a related field preferred with at least five (5) years of experience in a human resources function; or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above.

License Requirements:

  • Valid Driver’s License as per State law or requirement
  • SHRM-CP preferred
