Position Summary

The Tax Analyst provides technical and operational support for tax engine configuration, process automation, and reporting withinDMA’sManaged Tax Services team. This role focuses onoptimizingtax workflows, ensuring compliance, and deliveringaccuratereporting for client engagements. The Tax Analyst collaborates with internal teams and clients to troubleshoot issues, implement solutions, and enhance tax technology processes.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Configure, test, andmaintaintax engines (Vertex, Avalara, Thomson Reuters) and ERP systems for client projects.
Automate tax processes and reporting workflows using data transformation tools and scripting solutions.
Validate and process client data for accuracy and compliance with tax regulations.
Work closely with customers to understand their needs, promote customer satisfaction, retention, and success.
Review and analyze business process inputs, document variables and constraints, define prospective outcomes, and recommend solutions.
Process and troubleshoot customer workflows using data transformation tools.
Respond to client inquiries and provide support for tax engine functionality and process issues.
Collaborate with team members toidentifyand implement process improvements.
Provide break/fix resolution and ongoing tax solution maintenance tooptimizeefficiency and accuracy.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Education and Qualifications

Bachelor’sdegree in Accounting, Business, Information Systems, or related fieldrequired.
1+yearof professional experience; internship or related exposure preferred.
Proficiencyin Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); strong Excel skills preferred.
Familiarity with tax engines (Vertex, Avalara, OneSource) and ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics).
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.

Work Environment& Physical Requirements

Work Schedule:Regular,40 hours/week
Travel:Less than 10%
Physical Activity:
Prolonged periods of sitting and computer use
Ability to hear, understand, and distinguish speech and sounds
Frequent repetitive motions with hands
