Compensation is $19 - $23 per hour, commensurate with education.

Essential Functions And Responsibilities
- Support role in environmental site assessments or remediation field work, which may include soil and groundwater sampling, oversight of earthwork activities, and/or ground penetrating radar surveying
- Enter data into systems (e.g., Excel, Survey 1,2,3, Field Maps) from field investigations
- Make edits and updates to existing drawings and reports
- Assemble data and research that will be used in environmental technical reports, impact assessments, environmental inspection reports, and similar reports.
- Assist with administrative duties
- Provide input on solutions to problems using basic theories and geology fundamentals
- Maintain accurate and current project documentation
- Perform other related duties as assigned
- Full-time undergraduate student in ABET accredited engineering or geology program
- OSHA 40-HR HAZWOPER certification
- Coursework in related field
- Previous internship experience
- Familiarity with AutoCAD or GIS programs
- Work is performed within a general office environment approximately 50% of the time. Office work is generally sedentary in nature but may require occasional standing and walking. Office work is performed with adequate lighting and temperature, with no hazardous or unpleasant conditions caused by noise, dust, etc.
- Work is performed in the field and within a general office environment. Field work typically is approximately 50% of the time. Seasonally dependent weather includes heat/cold, wet/humid, and dry/arid conditions. Field work will require walking and carrying field equipment over typical outdoor terrain. Some lifting and carrying of field equipment (up to 25 lbs.) may be required, as needed.
