Steel Project Manager

The Steel Project Manager will play a crucial role in overseeing all phases of construction projects. This position requires a proactive, detail-oriented individual who can manage diverse teams and ensure project success from initiation through completion. Your responsibilities will encompass all phases of the PEMB construction project, requiring comprehensive leadership and coordination to ensure project success.

Roles & Responsibilities

Position every project for Owner and Company success.

Prepare comprehensive work schedules and assignments.

Effectively communicate and enforce safety procedures and site rules.

Regularly inspect work for quality and timeliness, ensuring adherence to project specifications.

Establish and maintain positive relationships with customers, design teams, subcontractors, and suppliers, aligning with company values.

Conduct weekly safety meetings, mentor/manage all jobsite personnel, and provide training for new hires.

Ensure strict adherence to architectural and PEMB plans, meeting all specifications and regulations.

Attend and actively participate in safety meetings, preconstruction meetings, and post-job meetings.

Conduct and update job progress meetings with the Radius team and the client.

Undertake any other duties as assigned.

Ability to quickly identify problems and provide efficient solutions.

Originate all Subcontracts and Purchase Orders according to company standards.

Develop schedules and cost-effective plans during Preconstruction and Construction.

Coordinate and schedule the work activities of tradespeople, professionals, and laborers.

Regularly inspect work for quality and timeliness; provide progress reports to Owners and Architects.

Ensure accurate cost management and CTC reporting.

Position every project for Owner and Company success.

Collaborate with Preconstruction Team for constructability and Budget Reviews.

Collaborate with Architects, Engineers, Attorneys, and other stakeholders to ensure compliance with specifications, zoning requirements, and regulations.

Ability to quickly identify problems and provide efficient solutions.

Involvement in the Sales process and attendance at RFQ’s, interviews, and Owner meetings.

Required Knowledge, Experience & Competencies

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Valid driver’s license.

Strong understanding of Pre-Engineered Metal Building (PEMB) systems.

Ability to work effectively under pressure.

Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.

Proficient in reading, understanding, and executing blueprints, drawings, and plans.

Thorough understanding of legal requirements related to construction and building sites.

Comprehensive knowledge of quality building practices.

Proficient in using a smartphone and PC, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and Procore.

Safety certifications as required.

Project Management experience.

Proficient in creating project schedules.

Strong communication, negotiation, and customer service skills.

Ability to handle submittals (and logs), RFI’s (and logs), PCO’s (and logs).

Experience running efficient Owner-Architect-Client meetings.

Preferred Knowledge, Experience & Competencies

Proficient in PROCORE Construction Management Software.

OSHA 30 (preferred)

Work Format

This position requires team collaboration and presence at in-person meetings and is best suited to a traditional work schedule.

Travel Requirements

Occasional travel (10-15%) to meetings and events, typically within a 100-mile radius of the office.

Occasional travel to various job site locations as needed for photography or milestone events.

Physical Requirements

Ability to lift 75Lbs

Ability to sit and/or stand for prolonged periods of time.

Ability to see well (naturally or with correction).
