Job Summary
The Production Supervisor is responsible for the daily operations and production activities within the specific area of the manufacturing facility ensuring production goals are met efficiently and upholding the highest standards of safety and quality. This position supervises and coordinates activities of shop-floor workers in a particular department ensuring policies and procedures are followed to maintain effective operations (CNC Machining, Inspection, Assembly, Machine Operations, Shipping/Receiving and Die Cast).
Essential Functions
- Oversee production schedules, coordinates workflow, and ensure production goals are met, modifying work procedures and using knowledge of machine and equipment capacities to adjust.
- Interprets company policies to workers and enforces safety regulations.
- Interprets specifications, blueprints, and job orders to workers, and assigns duties.
- Recommends measures to improve production methods, equipment performance and quality of product, and suggests changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency of shop, department or work crew.
- Analyzes and resolves work problems or assists workers in solving work problems.
- Recommends or initiates personnel actions, such as promotions, transfers, discharges and disciplinary measures.
- Responsible for training new and existing employees.
- Maintains time and production records.
- May confer with other Supervisors to coordinate activities of individual departments.
- May set up machines and equipment.

Required
- High School Diploma or equivalent GED
- Extensive experience in a manufacturing environment (5+ years)
- Understanding of manufacturing processes, equipment, and quality systems
- Successful experience providing work direction or acting in a lead or supervisory role
- Organizational and leadership abilities
- Ability to adhere to company policies, procedures, and work instructions
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Self-motivated and results-driven
- Good problem-solving skills
Preferred
- A Degree in technical engineering, or relevant field
- 8+ years of related experience
- Previous experience leading, setting up and assisting on machines
Hours
2nd Shift, 3:00 pm - 1:30 am, Monday to Thursday
Shift Differential: 2nd Shift employees are eligible for a 20% shift differential on top of base pay.
Compensation:
The anticipated starting salary range for this position is $30.24 to $40.32 per hour. The exact salary may be determined on a combination of factors including the candidate's knowledge, experience, skills, abilities, and education.
