Torch Technologies, a 100% Employee-owned company, is seeking a talented
Simulation Analytics Engineer with experience developing analyzing large datasets from
real time virtual simulations that involve human-in-the-loop to quantify behaviors and
Measures of Performance to use in a constructive simulation. Necessary development skills include ability to
process meaningful information with reports, understanding of scripting languages like Python and database experience . Torch is seeking candidates with these qualities and experience that work well with a multidiscipline team. Candidate will work
directly with customers su pporting the Ground Vehicle System Center (GVSC) . Candidate must be able to work in person daily at the Torch Michigan office located in Sterling Heights, MI. Candidate should be trustworthy, dependable, and self-motivated, eager to overcome challenges and solve problems. Previous experience working within a DoD environment is a plus, but not required.
Qualified candidates will have direct experience with the following:
- Strong understanding of scripting languages like Python for searching datasets.
- Proficient with databases and big data management.
- Proficient developing with automation and generation of reports.
- Understanding of how to characterize behaviors.
- Proficient in quantifying Measures of Performance and Measures of Effectiveness.
Qualified candidates will have an interest or experience in one of the following areas:
- Background and knowledge of Ground Vehicles systems and subsystems and how to develop simulations for digital twins of them.
- Strong understanding of how to perform quality software testing like unit testing.
- Proficient with physics Simulation type software packages.
- Proficient in software development, architectures, frameworks, prototyping and design.
- Strong background in developing and understanding Digital Engineering with tools like Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE).
- Strong understanding for integrating complex software packages such as networking Unreal Engine with other distributed simulations.
- C++ with Unreal Engine, Object Oriented Programming, and memory management.
- Familiarity with Augmented Reality and Virtual Reality synchronization and UX design.
- Strong understanding of how to quantify and analyze results from Human-in-the-loop simulations.
- Unreal Engine understanding of replication, Blueprints.
- Experience with source control repositories such as Git and Gitlab.
Education and Experience Requirements:
- B.S or greater in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or technical discipline is required. Relevant graduate degrees will be given preference.
- 2 + years of experience
Additional Requirements:
- Candidate must be a U.S Citizen
- This position requires the candidate meet requirements to obtain a secret security clearance to access classified information. Inability to obtain a secret clearance will result in candidate being ineligible for this position.
