Description

Position Summary: Responsible for the preventive and routine maintenance of the plant's facilities, ensuring the seamless operation of mechanical, hydraulic, and electronic machinery and equipment. Identifies areas requiring additional work or improvement, observes and rectifies problems in machinery, and maintains records of equipment failures for managerial review. Keeps the plant's maintenance and safety manuals up-to-date, ensuring compliance with government regulations.


Essential Functions:

  • Complete preventive maintenance and repair machinery to ensure the optimal operation of mechanical, hydraulic, and electronic equipment.
  • Identify and rectify defective parts of machinery to address potential issues proactively.
  • Maintain detailed records of equipment failures, providing necessary documentation to managers as required.
  • Keep the plant's maintenance manual and safety manual current to ensure compliance with government regulations.
Requirements

Competencies and Attributes Needed:

  • Ability to maintain and repair mechanical, electronic and hydraulic equipment.
  • Must have extensive knowledge of 480V, 240V and 110V electrical systems.
  • Strong problem solving and trouble shooting skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Self-motivated and have a strong attention to detail.
  • Must be able to troubleshoot PLC components.
  • Must have basic computer skills (Outlook, Excel and word).

Physical Requirements:

  • Sit, stand and have the physical ability to climb on, in or under any equipment.
  • Lift at least 25 – 40 pounds regularly and 75 pounds occasionally
