Summary

We are seeking an experienced Superintendent II to oversee construction projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to lead and coordinate multiple teams effectively.

Roles & Responsibilities

Coordinates and schedules the work activities of tradespeople, professionals, and laborers, communicating to and via project foreperson to deliver instructions and project assignments as appropriate.

Regularly inspects work for quality and timeliness; prepares and provides progress reports to owners and architects; makes recommendations for necessary modifications.

Collaborates with architect, engineer, Project Manager, and other pertinent stakeholders to ensure specifications, zoning requirements, and other regulations are met.

Ensures specifications and regulations outlined in architectural and engineering plans are followed.

Schedule and meet with Inspection Departments and Inspectors on site to achieve all required sign-offs pertaining to the project.

Schedule and ensure that all 3rd party inspections have completed and have been reported to the contract specifications.

Attend and participate in Superintendent meetings, L-10 meetings, safety meetings, preconstruction meetings, and post job meetings.

Conduct and update job progress meetings with the Bobbitt team and the client.

Complete detailed daily job logs

Complete daily safety checklist.

Complete daily photos.

Complete Toolbox talks weekly.

Any other assigned duties.

Required Knowledge, Experience & Competencies

Must have a valid driver’s license.

Safety certifications as required.

Good verbal and written communication skills.

Ability to work under pressure.

Ability to oversee and coordinate a variety of people in different roles. (ex. Laborers, Foremen, Superintendents, Project Managers, Inspectors, Owners, Owner Representatives, etc.)

Extremely detail-oriented and organized.

Ability to read, understand, and execute blueprints, drawings, and plans.

Thorough understanding of legal requirements relating to construction and building sites.

Thorough understanding of quality building practices.

Ability to quickly identify problems and efficiently solve them.

Must be able to navigate a smart phone and PC. Including but not limited to Word, Excel, Outlook, and Procore.

Attend RFQ conference and Owner interviews as requested.

Mentor, supervise and train Field Engineers and Superintendents.

Immediately recognize and mitigate safety violations on job site.

Routinely receive positive references from Owners and Owner representatives.

Lead Superintendent meetings as requested.

Ability to track and manage multiple job sites.

Preferred Knowledge, Experience & Competencies

Bachelor’s Degree in: Construction Management, Construction Science, and related fields (and /or):

At least 4 years of experience in building trade requirements.

OSHA Certification.

Ability to master sector/project-specific software systems including but not limited to: Microsoft Office suite (ex. Project, Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.), ProCore.

Work Format

This position requires team collaboration and presence at in-person meetings and is best suited to a traditional work schedule.

Physical Requirements

Ability to lift 75lbs at a time.

Ability to sit and/or stand for prolonged periods of time.

Ability to see well (naturally or with correction).

Must have a valid Driver’s License.
