Systems Infrastructure - Estimator II
SUMMARY: The Systems Infrastructure Estimator II (Structured Cabling) will be responsible for Estimating Federal, State and Private systems infrastructure projects, including but not limited to Structured cabling (Horizontal and OSP), CATV, DAS and Public Address in a fast-paced high volume Electrical contracting environment.

- Keeps detailed notes during the estimating process to assist in detailed handoff documentation to Operations.
- Prepare and submit detailed RFI questions in a timely manner.
- Perform detailed takeoffs for multiple systems using Bluebeam Revu software.
- Create Accubid estimates and enter information from the take-off into the software.
- Creates detailed proposal letters, including scope of work, inclusions, exclusions and qualifications.
- Interacts and communicates effectively with Baker Electric’s Electrical Estimators on internal opportunities to ensure pertinent information is processed on a timely basis.
- Interacts and communicates effectively with customers and end users on Prime opportunities.
- Perform job walks as required.
- Follow up with internal divisions as well as prime opportunities on submitted estimates for feedback.
- Participate in the contract routing process by reviewing the estimates scope for accuracy.
- Negotiate project pricing with vendors.
- Maintain familiarity with industry and manufacture standards and how they impact job costs while preparing estimates.
- Prepares Estimating Handoffs from the Estimating Team to the Operations team.
- First 30: Successful candidate will immediately begin Estimating Systems Infrastructure Projects.
- First 60: Begin opening new bid opportunities received through Building Connected.
- First 90: Continue to estimate the groups infrastructure opportunities ensuring timely turnover to Customers, End Users and internal operating groups.
- Minimum of 8 years experience in the telecommunications cabling infrastructure trade.
- Minimum of 5 years experience in estimating systems infrastructure projects that include Structured Cabling (Horizontal & OSP), CATV, DAS and Public Address.
- Experience in Accubid Estimating Software.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite: Excel, Word, Outlook
- Proficiency in Bluebeam Revu software
