Make an Impact 

As a Construction Administrator, you will coordinate with internal staff, clients, general contractors, and other contractors throughout the project lifecycle and course of construction. This position provides the opportunity to advocate for design intent, while preventing risks, liabilities, and cost for both the client and Progressive Companies. You will have the ability to work on a variety of complex projects, varying in sector, budget, and scale.

 

Deliver Results 

  • Support Project Manager in reviewing work scopes as part of the General Contractor’s or Construction Manager’s bidding. Attend Pre-Bid meetings and Post Bid Interviews.
  • Observe construction activities of all kinds in the field and verify general compliance with the Construction Documents.
  • Have knowledge and understanding of the General Contractor’s or Construction Managers overall schedule as it relates to the Contract Documents.
  • Ensure General Contractors and Construction Managers conform to Progressive AE standards and processes for submittal reviews.
  • Initiate and maintain contact with other key project individuals for clarification, coordination, and negotiation of critical issues, while consistently utilizing excellent judgment and problem-solving skills related to independent decision making.
  • Provide QA/QC review of project documents to ensure Progressive AE standards are being adhered to and provide overall guidance to project team with project constructability and detailing reviews.
  • Collaborate with Owner and Contractor’s to review and align with scopes of work and overall project budget. Review and advise project team on cost adjustments submitted as voluntary alternates.

 

Required Qualifications 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or another applicable field.
  • Minimum 5 years of working in the AE field, with a strong focus on field work and construction administration.
  • Ability to travel up to 20% of the time, typically locally.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel and Outlook.

 

Preferred Qualifications 

  • CSI-CDT certification; if hired, obtainment of certification is expected within 12 months (training and test fees provided).
  • LEED AP BD+C and WELL AP certification.
  • Experience scheduling projects.
  • Strong knowledge of Revit and AutoCAD.
  • Experience in Microsoft Project, SharePoint, and Teams.
