Description

Join our team at Ag Express Electronics as we seek a dynamic and experienced PCBA Production Manager to lead our Printed Circuit Board Assembly (PCBA) production unit. In this pivotal role, you will oversee operations, ensure compliance with safety and quality standards, optimize production processes, and foster collaboration across departments to achieve organizational goals. This is a full-time, exempt position in Warren, Indiana.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities:

Manage and Lead PCBA Team:

  • Provide leadership and direction to the PCBA team to ensure efficient and effective operations.
  • Foster a positive work environment and encourage teamwork and collaboration.

Ensure Safety and Quality Standards:

  • Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations, ISO 9001:2015, and IPC standards.
  • Implement and enforce safety protocols and procedures within the production unit.

Operating and Programming SMT Line Equipment:

  • Assist in operating all SMT line equipment, including solder jet printer, pick and place machine, and reflow oven.
  • Program and troubleshoot SMT line equipment as needed.

Training and Development:

  • Train the team on how to operate and troubleshoot all SMT line equipment.
  • Provide ongoing training and development opportunities to enhance team skills and capabilities.

Resource Management:

  • Review and establish material, equipment, and manpower resource requirements.
  • Coordinate with other departments to ensure adequate resources are available to meet production needs.

Collaboration:

  • Work closely with sales, purchasing, and quality departments to ensure jobs are completed correctly and on time.
  • Actively collaborate with all departments on current and new projects to ensure cost, quality, and on-time delivery targets are met.

Maintain Standards and Records:

  • Maintain ISO 9001:2015 and IPC standards.
  • Keep accurate records of PCBA processes, including building documentation, test results, and quality control data.

Performance Optimization:

  • Optimize production processes to achieve cost-effectiveness, quality, and on-time delivery.
  • Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to production efficiency, yield, and cycle time.

Inventory Management:

  • Manage inventory levels by working with the purchasing team to meet accuracy and cost goals.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 3-5 years of PCBA production management experience is required; candidates must demonstrate proficiency in operating SMT soldering, pick & place, and reflow equipment.
  • Experience working in accordance with ISO 9001:2015 and IPC standards is essential.
  • Proven communication skills, both verbal and written, are necessary for effective collaboration and coordination across departments.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities are crucial for identifying and resolving issues in a timely manner to ensure smooth production processes.
  • The ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, where adaptability and quick decision-making are essential, is highly valued.

Physical Requirements:

  • Seated Position: Ability to remain in a seated position for approximately 50% of the time, with the capacity to alternate between sitting and standing as necessary.
  • Movement: Capable of moving around the office environment to access parts, including reaching high-level shelving and ascending/descending ladders.
  • Lifting: Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs. of equipment as required for various tasks.
  • Machinery Operation: Proficiency in operating machinery for intricate cable and parts fabrication processes.
  • Communication: Skill in exchanging accurate information with customers, co-workers, vendors, etc., utilizing verbal, written, and electronic communication methods.
