Assistant Project Manager (EIT/PE) - Water/Wastewater: Denver, CO

Responsibilities

  • Provide professional services for civil engineering projects to include design, plans, specifications, reports, project budgets, scope of work, permits, contracts, schedules, estimates, and coordination of sub-consultants and contractors
  • Provide professional services for the design and construction of water supply and distribution systems, wastewater collection systems, and water/wastewater treatment facilities
  • Work within multi-discipline projects that include civil, electrical, and architectural aspects
  • Provide quality control and quality assurance on all project work
  • Assist Project Manager in maintaining budgets and schedules of project assignments and in maintaining quality client relationships and communication
  • Coordinate, facilitate, and attend internal and external meetings
  • Provide guidance to junior engineers, technicians, and other project team members
  • Gather critical data to assist clients with project financing and funding development

Basic Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or related field
  • Fundamentals in Engineering (EIT) certified
  • Ability to travel as required for business development and project/client responsibilities
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Excel, Word, and Outlook
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple initiatives simultaneously
  • Maintain stellar reputation for integrity, fairness, reliability, good judgement and aptitude among peers, management, and staff
  • All applicants must be able to complete pre-employment onboarding requirements (if selected) which may include any/all of the following: criminal/civil background check, drug screen, and motor vehicle records search, in compliance with any applicable laws and regulations

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in civil or environmental engineering
  • Five (5) years of related experience
  • Registration as a Professional Engineer ideal or ability to obtain within 12 months
  • Proficient with Civil 3D, ESRI Products, and/or hydraulic or process modeling software
  • Design work and knowledge with water supply, water resources, drinking water and wastewater treatment and collection systems, utility planning, and other municipal vertical and horizontal infrastructure
  • Experience leading both internal initiatives and external projects
  • Ability to multi-task and effectively manage multiple initiatives simultaneously
