JMT is seeking a Recruiting Assistant for our corporate headquarters in Hunt Valley, Maryland. This is an excellent opportunity to gain experience in an established Human Resources Department. The position will assist the department with a wide range of tasks and projects related but not limited to, recruiting and learning & development.
Essential Functions And Responsibilities
Work is performed within a general office environment. Work is generally sedentary in nature, but may require occasional standing and walking. Lighting and temperature are adequate and there are no hazardous or unpleasant conditions caused by noise, dust, etc. within the office environment.

Essential Functions And Responsibilities
- Post open positions on various job boards
- Format/Quality check job postings on the JMT website
- Schedule interviews with job applicants
- Perform reference checks
- Conduct basic applicant phone screens
- Initiate and review applicant background checks
- Manage and maintain Applicant Tracking System
- Maintain communication with college students interested in employment
- Monitor JMT.com inquiries related to recruitment
- Recruiting related projects as needed
- Perform other related tasks as assigned
- Excellent customer service skills
- Excellent organizational and verbal/written communication skills
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
- Reliable, detail-oriented and able to complete multiple work assignments
- Strong computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office; ability to analyze reports in Excel using pivot tables, charts and graphs a plus
- Knowledge of the A/E/C industry preferred
- Experience working in an office setting or in a customer service environment a plus
