Description

As the Customer Service and Reception Specialist at Ag Express Electronics, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring positive customer interactions, addressing order inquiries, and maintaining customer satisfaction. This position will be responsible for accurately handling shipping and receiving tasks, managing inventory using Acumatica software, and maintaining detailed documentation of facility visitors and customer data. The ideal candidate for this role will possess strong organizational skills, effective communication abilities, and a commitment to creating a welcoming atmosphere for both visitors and customers.


This is a full-time position located in Grand Island, Nebraska

Requirements

Key Responsibilities:

Customer Interaction

  • Create positive customer experiences by warmly welcoming visitors at the front counter, ensuring they feel valued and appreciated from the moment they arrive.
  • Maintain proactive communication with customers and implement dealers, keeping them informed about the status of their orders and addressing any inquiries or concerns promptly and professionally.
  • Strive for excellence in customer service by actively listening to customer needs, offering personalized assistance, and going above and beyond to ensure their satisfaction and loyalty to Ag Express.

Communication

  • Handle inbound phone calls, emails, and other inquiries promptly and professionally, providing accurate information about Ag Express products and services and directing inquiries to the appropriate departments or personnel as needed.
  • Answer phones promptly, direct calls efficiently, and relay messages accurately to ensure seamless communication flow within the organization. 

Inventory Management

  • Maintain organized and well-labeled inventory, leveraging Acumatica software to manage inventory levels effectively and ensure accurate stock counts and availability.
  • Demonstrate strong problem-solving skills to address and resolve any issues or discrepancies that arise during shipping or inventory handling processes, ensuring smooth operations and minimal disruption.
  • Facilitate efficient inventory transfers between different locations within the organization, ensuring timely delivery and accurate tracking of inventory movement.

Shipping and Receiving

  • Ensure the accuracy of shipping destination information and reconcile packing slips against purchase orders to minimize errors and discrepancies in outgoing shipments.
  • Pack, process, and ship outbound parts and repairs accurately and efficiently, adhering to established packaging standards and shipping guidelines.
  • Handle inbound packages from customers and suppliers with care and attention to detail, ensuring accurate receipt and processing of incoming shipments.

Documentation

  • Maintain meticulous records of customer data obtained from received packages, including billing information, return shipment details, and repair requests, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality at all times.
  • Process credit card transactions securely and in compliance with established protocols and regulations, safeguarding customer information and maintaining trust and integrity in financial transactions.
  • Perform any additional duties or tasks as assigned by management, demonstrating adaptability and willingness to contribute to the overall success and efficiency of the organization.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Experience in customer service is advantageous.
  • Demonstrated willingness to learn new skills.

Physical Requirements:

  • Seated Position: Remain in a seated position 50% of the time; alternate between sitting and standing.
  • Movement: Move about the office to access parts, including high-level shelving, ascending/descending ladders.
  • Lifting Limitations: The employee must occasionally transport/move boxes and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
