The Marketing Analyst prepares the request for proposals (RFP) while auditing historical and current plan information and experience. This person communicates directly with carriers to ensure complete and accurate information as well as assisting with negotiating rates. This position prepares benefit and cost analysis illustrations of marketing results and shares contractual difference relating to various products and carriers.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Proactively manages & coordinates the marketing process
  • Prepares the request for proposals (RFP)
  • Audits historical and current plan information and experience
  • Responsible for market summary prep
  • Communicates directly with carriers and maintains relationship with the carriers
  • Ensures complete and accurate information
  • Assists with negotiating favorable rates
  • Prepares the benefit and cost analysis illustration of marketing results and shares contractual differences relating to various products and carriers
  • Works with Client Managers to obtain all required details for marketing
  • Communicates with the Producer, Client Executive and/or Client Manager on status of marketing

Position Requirements

  • A college degree is required with prior experience being considered in lieu of a diploma
  • Must have 2+ years of experience in a similar role within the employee benefits industry
  • Active Life and Health License or the ability to obtain the license within 3 months of employment
  • Superb communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Strong analytical and reasoning skills. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and work in a team structure
  • Excellent computer, software and office machine skills and knowledge specifically with Microsoft Excel
  • Must have the ability to collect, analyze and interpret data from various sources in order to solve client problems

Preferred: GBA or CEBS designation, Previous experience in working with self-funded accounts
