Warehouse Manager
Description

In this role, you will be responsible for management of the warehouse & assembly processes in our Mandan, ND facility. You will work to improve organizational systems and auditing processes as well as monitoring performance against company goals and initiatives. 


Warehouse Manager Essential Responsibilities:

  • Provide formal leadership to the Mandan II warehouse & assembly team, including team development, mentorship, performance conversations and individual career development.
  • Review the scope of jobs and assign work for the panel shop and the warehouse.
  • Identify any special tools, outside services or special-order parts required to complete assembly jobs without delay.
  • Read electrical schematic and sub-panel layout drawings along with other instructions to assemble and test electrical panels.
  • Identify parts and components necessary to complete assembly while meeting CSA and UL requirements.
  • Maintain records for assembled panels and testing equipment.
  • Drive company vehicles to pick-up and deliver product, parts, and equipment as needed.
  • Work with the service team on other assignments as needed.
  • Responsible for maintaining a high degree of inventory accuracy in the Mandan II warehouse.
  • Coordinate with production planner to effectively complete shop orders on time.
  • Manage PaceJet shipping software system and its interaction with the ERP business system.
  • Provide input on warehouse layout and design for new facilities. 
  • Monitor and report on operational metrics for the warehouse and assembly teams.
  • Ability to successfully facilitate and lead team discussions, meetings, and projects.
  • Develops and recommends efficiency ideas, cost reduction measures, warehouse design layout and space allocation.
  • Oversee and enforce Novaspect’s safety procedures.
  • Work with Warehouse and Assembly manager in the creation and monitoring the annual warehouse operating budget.
Requirements

  

Warehouse Manager Education and Experience Requirements: 

  • High School Diploma.
  • 3-5+ years warehouse distribution, inventory, assembly & operations experience preferred.
  • Electrical and Mechanical aptitude required.
  • Forklift and bridge crane experience required. Forklift certification desired.
  • Leadership skills and management experience desired.
  • Knowledge of hand and power tools required and ability to follow Safety guidelines.
  • Knowledge of ERP systems; IFS experience a plus.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft office suite.
  • Able to manage difficult situations, respond promptly to internal customer needs, & prioritize workload.
  • Quickly embraces, learns, and applies new technology and/or procedures.
  • Provides candid feedback to others as needed and navigates crucial conversations.
  • Proven ability to build and support teamwork.
  • Ability to travel to other Novaspect warehouse locations approximately 10% of the time. This is mostly day trips, some      overnights required.

Warehouse Manager Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to work extended hours on a computer.
  • Ability to work in a loud industrial environment if needed.
  • Must be able to lift, lower, slide weight up to 60 pounds
  • Must be able to efficiently use a dolly and/or pallet jack

Warehouse Manager Schedule:

7:30am – 4:30pm with one hour for lunch.
