WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING
Join a dynamic team dedicated to operational excellence – As the Tech Etch Industrial Engineering Intern, you will work closely with the Operations Excellence Manager and have the unique opportunity to collaborate on a joint project with our Finance team and their Finance Intern. Your daily tasks will include assisting with process improvement initiatives, conducting time and motion studies, analyzing production data, and participating in cross-functional meetings.
Assist in cellular design, layout consultations, and continuous improvement activities
Analyze production data to optimize workflow and resource utilization
Support the Operations Excellence Manager in implementing Lean manufacturing principles and methodologies
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement process improvement projects
Participate in meetings with stakeholders to discuss project progress and findings
Work on a collaborative job cost project with the Finance team and their Finance Intern to analyze manufacturing costs and identify cost-saving opportunities
Assist in documenting standard operating procedures and work instructions
Support the Operations team in ad hoc tasks and projects as needed
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
Current enrollment in a Bachelor’s degree program, preferably in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Knowledge of Lean manufacturing principles and methodologies is a plus
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively in a team environment
Proactive and self-motivated with a desire to learn and grow
