We are looking for a Field/Laboratory Technician to join our Springfield team.

Responsibilities may include:

Assist with field inspections of construction projects, working closely with experienced technicians and engineers to learn proper inspection techniques and procedures.
Perform materials testing under the guidance and supervision of senior technicians, ensuring compliance with established protocols.
Learn to collect samples from job sites and assist in transporting them to the laboratory for further analysis.
Assist in conducting laboratory tests on construction materials, following standardized procedures and utilizing appropriate testing equipment.
Record and document test results accurately, maintaining detailed records of findings and observations.
Support the team in preparing reports and summaries, contributing to the overall project documentation.
Adhere to safety guidelines and protocols, ensuring a safe working environment for yourself and others.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the laboratory and testing equipment.
Embrace a learning mindset, actively seeking opportunities to expand your knowledge and skills in construction materials testing.

Required Skills/Abilities

High school diploma or equivalent.
Strong interest in the civil/structural engineering industry, with a desire to gain hands-on experience in the field and laboratory.
Basic computer skills and proficiency in using standard software applications.
Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy in recording and documenting data.
Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
Ability to work well in a team environment, collaborating with colleagues to achieve project goals.
Physical fitness and the ability to perform tasks that may require lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
