Doggy Day Camp Shuttle Driver

 The Hipster Hound in Savannah, GA is seeking a part-time valet driver for the evening (5:00-7:00PM) Monday through Friday. 

1. Picks up and drops off pet guests from/to their homes, following all instructions given by pets’ owners.

2. Presents pets to and takes pets directly from owner NOT from empty homes unless District Manager approved special prior arrangement.

3. Ensure the pet is secure in the vehicle.
4. Ensure the pet arrives safely into the boarding facility.
5. Identifies any irregular behavior and follows proper procedures to respond.
6. Abides by the rules and regulations of the facility.
7. Abides by all motor vehicle laws.
8. Assures that owner signs contracts and other required documents.
9. Communicates any problems while on the road to Manager on Duty.
10. Treats all customers, guests, and co-workers in a professional, courteous manner.
11. Properly cares for and stores all equipment and vehicles.
12. Cleans vehicle thoroughly after transport and leaves it ready for next use.
13. Monitors playgroups and actively interacts with pets.
14. Assists in any of the valet zones when needed.
15. Properly handles and labels pet belongings at check in and check out.
16. Wears a seatbelt, and assure that human riders wear a seatbelt at all times while vehicle is in motion.
17. Keeps pets in a crate or on a lead at all times, even if the pet is carried.
18. Does not smoke in vans.
19. Supports the Mission and Philosophy of Best Friends Pet Care, Inc.

Must be able to work weekdays, evenings, weekends and holidays.
• Must be able to frequently lift 40 pounds.
• Must be able to be on feet eight hours per day.
• Must be able to safely operate motor vehicle.
• Must be able to stand, walk, and climb stairs frequently.
• Must be able to work on computer system.
• Must be able to handle dogs on leashes.
• Must be able to work in an environment with exposure to disinfectant/sanitation
• chemicals, animal dander and excretions.
• Must have strong communication skills.
• Ability to think clearly and quickly to resolve problems.
• Must have excellent interpersonal skills.
• Must possess a love of animals.
• Displays a professional manner at all times.

Education:

• High School Graduate or Equivalent
Experience:

• Minimum of 1-year experience relating to customers.

Technical:

• Background check of driving record is a requirement of the position.
• Must have current, valid driver’s license.
