Job Title: CDL Driver

Department: Warehouse

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

Reports to: Warehouse Operations Manager

Salary: Commensurate with experience + Benefits

Job Summary

This position will provide support to the warehousing operations with specific responsibilities of transporting orders over designated routes; ensuring safe operation of vehicles and loading and uploading orders.

Essential Functions

  • Always wears proper Safety equipment.
  • Receives and unloads trucks, checking in materials, matching purchase orders to ensure quantity and quality of orders are correct.
  • Delivers a variety of items to job sites for the purpose of distributing items from internal or external sources over scheduled and/ or unscheduled routes to assigned locations and/or individuals.
  • Move materials and items from receiving or storage areas to shipping or to other designated areas.
  • Assemble customer orders from stock and place orders on pallets or shelves, or relocate orders to a holding area for future delivery
  • Mark materials with identifying information using appropriate method.
  • Delivers material/Equipment to Job site - communicates with Warehouse Operations Manager or office once delivery is made to determine if needed to be re-routed or pick up is needed.
  • Operates equipment in accordance with DOT and company rules. Adheres to all local, state and federal laws.
  • Drives vehicles (e.g. truck, van, forklift, etc.) for the purpose of receiving stock and/ or filling orders for transport.
  • Maintains delivery vehicles (e.g. checking fluid levels, fueling, cleaning, etc.) for the purpose of ensuring safe operation of vehicle.
  • Maintains records (e.g. delivery log, etc.) for the purpose of documenting activities and providing reliable resource information.
  • Performs all functions within the scope of the warehouse.
  • May be assigned facilities maintenance duties as needed.
  • Bring optimization to work every day.

Job Requirements

For consideration, candidates must have a valid driver's license and CDL license while employed.

Qualifications

  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Valid Driver`s Class A - CDL license
  • Evidence of insurability
  • Related experience.
  • Forklift certificate.
  • Ability to drive within local areas
  • Ability to read and interpret documents.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with customers and co-workers.
  • Ability to move, lift, load and reach inventory weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to sit in a vehicle for extended periods of times.
  • Thorough knowledge of traffic laws and defensive driving.
  • Ability to safely drive company vehicles.
