Primary purpose:  Leverages clinical expertise to support and implement program requirements. Conducts research, develops standards-based solutions, advises, and collaborates with technical and clinical experts to align our projects with client expectations and deliver exceptional value. Works in a variety of roles on different projects.    


A successful candidate will:

  •  Read and apply clinical quality measure specifications, clinical information models, and HL7 standards including Fast Healthcare Interoperability Resources (FHIR) and Clinical Quality Language (CQL), value set concepts, and logical scenarios for inclusion/exclusion in measure populations.  
  • Perform environmental scans and literature reviews. 
  • Convene and facilitate workgroups and panels of technical experts. 
  • Analyze findings from studies, qualitative data, and other information to create comprehensive summary reports.  
  • Lead and facilitate meetings for gathering requirements with clinical professionals. 
  • Analyze and understand internal or external client needs, effectively translate these needs into formal requirements, and communicate these needs to business and technical resources. 
  • Prepare education and outreach materials.  
  • Contribute to the development of white papers, presentations, blogs, and memos. 
  • Serve as a clinical lead on projects.  
  • Support internal business-development activities as a subject matter expert.  
  • Stay current on industry trends and healthcare-policy initiatives important to Lantana and its clients.  
Requirements
  • Bachelors degree or equivalent in Nursing, Health Informatics, or related field 
  • One to two (1-2) years of experience with clinical quality measures within the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid (CMS) quality reporting and value-based purchasing programs  
  • Familiarity with the CMS National Quality Strategy 
  • A total related work experience of at least six (6) years 
  • Understanding of different types of clinical quality measures, such as chart-abstracted, claims-based, electronic clinical quality measures (eCQMs), and digital quality measures (dQMs)   
  • Understanding of value sets, standardized clinical terminologies, and code systems such as SNOMED CT, LOINC, and RxNorm  
  • Ability to communicate effectively with clients, management, and staff both verbally and in writing? 
  • Understanding of the endorsement process for clinical quality measures 
  • Methodical, organized analytical and technical skills for gathering measure requirements and communicating them to clients, technical analysts, and data analysts 


Preferred Qualifications:

  •  Masters degree in Nursing or other clinical profession, Health Informatics or related field. 
  • Clinical license in good standing  
  • Experience in a U.S.-based clinical practice and familiarity with clinical workflow and clinical best practices  
  • Experience with HL7 standards, including Fast Healthcare Interoperability Resources (FHIR) and Clinical Quality Language (CQL) 
  • Experience with measure testing (Alpha/Beta facility testing) 
  • Experience with Consensus Based Entity (CBE) endorsement 
  • Experience facilitating meetings with diverse audiences 
  • Experience implementing EHRs 
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and SharePoint
