Job Title: Utility Division: Precision Pulley & Idler (PPI)

PURPOSE OF POSITION
The Utility will operate and/or perform a variety of tasks and job duties on a regular basis. While performing these tasks, the Utility will be expected to produce defined quantities of parts and components according to company and customer specifications.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The following duties are normal for this position. These are not to be construed as exclusive or all inclusive. Other duties may be required and assigned.
More specifically, the person will:
- Operate various pieces of equipment.
- Complete day to day tasks, vary depending on applicable work load at each trained area.
- Demonstrate ability to read and follow prints and schedules.
- Measure parts and components to verify accuracy according to company and customer specifications using instruments including but not limited to micrometer, caliper, and dial indicator.
- Perform routine and preventative maintenance in various departments.
- Perform housekeeping in various departments.
- Continually participate in additional training related to the job.
- Perform assignments in other areas and related task assignments in the work area.
- Participate and support manufacturing concepts of TWI, Lean, etc.
- Communicate positively with supervisors, fellow workers, and other internal customers
QUALIFICATIONS

- Proficient use of math skills.
- Ability to accurately utilize measuring devices including but not limited to a tape measure, micrometer caliper, and dial indicator.
- Have basic ability to read and understand blueprints and/or other specifications.
- Demonstrate mechanical aptitude and ability to solve problems.
- Regular, consistent attendance.
EDUCATION – EXPERIENCE – COMPUTER SKILLS
- High school diploma or a general education degree (GED); or
- one to three months related experience and/or training; or
- equivalent combination of education and experience.
TRAINING – CERTIFICATIONS – LICENSES
- Forklift license
- Continually participate in training related to the job.

While performing the duties of this position, the employee:
- Must be able to occasionally sit, kneel, crouch, crawl, and/or stoop/bend.
- Must be able to regularly use hands and arms.
- Must be able to regularly stand and walk.
- Must be able to occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
- Must be able to frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close (clear at 20 inches or less), distance (clear at 20 feet or more), color (ability to identify and distinguish colors), peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
- Specific hearing abilities required for this job include the ability to hear equipment alarms and the ability to hear instructions from others.
ENVIRONMENTAL ADAPTABILITY
- The noise level in the work environment is usually LOUD.
- Frequently exposed to wet or humid conditions(non-weather), work near moving mechanical parts, fumes, or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and vibration.
- Occasionally exposed to outdoor weather conditions, and risk of electrical shock.
- Steel-toe safety shoes, safety glasses, hearing protection.
