DSG is seeking an
Inventory Control Specialist for our
St. Paul, MN branch. This is a
full time, hourly position, where work is typically performed during
standard business hours, Monday through Friday, but may vary on occasion according to business needs. As an Inventory Control Specialist, you will
be responsible for overseeing inventory in the branch by performing daily cycle counting, processing returns, and acting as a liaison between the warehouse and customer service responsibilities.

A Typical Day in the Life of an Inventory Control Specialist at DSG:
- Overall inventory management
- Perform daily cycle counting
- Process incoming customer returns to include defective, damaged, and special ordered product
- Process manufacturer returns and recalls
- Act as a liaison between the warehouse and customer service
- Perform root cause analysis with any customer issues
- Assist the Regional Operations Manager and Branch Manager with excess inventory and line changes
- Manage rental equipment
- Address damaged equipment
- Process inventory transfers
- Assist in training and cross-training other warehouse staff members
- Involvement in the Order Checking process
- Operate gas and electric forklifts and riders
- Assist in Receiving or Shipping
- Work with warehouse associates frequently to learn of any problems or concerns
- Other duties and responsibilities within the warehouse as assigned
A Successful Inventory Control Specialist Typically Has:
- Basic product and warehouse knowledge that would normally be acquired in one to three years of applicable experience.
- Attention to detail, with good organizational skills.
- Safety training on material handling and forklift driving.
- Strong interpersonal, customer service and communication skills.
- The physical ability to lift up to 60 lbs. on a regular basis, and up to 100 lbs. on an occasional basis.
- Prior computer knowledge, experience, and skills.
- A team-player mindset.
- An even-tempered approach to work, with the ability to juggle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Creative problem-solving skills.
