Diesel Engine – POD 90 Head Tube/Ream/Mill

Job Overview: This position is responsible for measuring guides and verifying they meet specs. If not, they are to be removed and replaced with new guides. The removal process could involve a drill press or a press depending on guides. The new guides are reinstalled using a press or hammer depending on guides. The new guides are measured to ensure they are in spec. Some heads require pressure testing to make sure the head does not leak. This position is also the Mill operator. The Mill operator is responsible for setting up the cylinder head on a mill and milling the head to remove any imperfections in the head. The head has a minimum thickness that had to be checked during the process. If the head goes below spec head could be junk. It is a job that requires operator to follow standards in order to meet production goals.

Schedule:

Monday - Friday 6:30am-3:00pm
Overtime available

Qualifications:

The ability to lift, bend, push, pull and move materials up to 50lbs
The ability to stand or walk an entire shift (can be approx... 8-10 hours)
The ability to use handheld tools such as Hammers, drills, drill press, many different types of measuring devices and other hand tools.
Standing: Continuously
Walking: Frequently
Sitting: Never
Stooping (forward leaning): Frequently
Reaching/Working Overhead: Frequently

Salary and Benefits:

Starting rate $18.25 + based on experience.
