Summary:
PRR is seeking a Helpdesk Specialist to assist our IT Team with a variety of IT related tasks. This position is full time, hourly (40hrs per week). This position is responsible for ensuring that PRR staff receive the technical support they need as well as assisting the IT Team with other IT related responsibilities. The ideal candidate will have 1-3 years of relevant experience, experience working in an office environment working directly with non-technical staff, and strong customer service skills.
This is a temporary position, expected to last for up to six months. Based on the needs of the team, there may be potential for permanent employment. This position is expected to work on-site in our downtown Seattle office, with the possibility to eventually work a hybrid schedule.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Offer first-level technical support for hardware and software issues.
- Document and prioritize troubleshooting efforts.
- Maintain IT asset inventory.
- Manage PC lifecycle: deploy, patch, and decommission hardware.
- Ensure antivirus software is installed and operational.
- Oversee the check-out of IT resources (projectors, hotspots, laptops).

Experience/Education
This is an entry-level position designed for a recent college graduate with a bachelors degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience in Information Technology or a related discipline.
Skills Required
- Knowledge of PC hardware and Windows 10/11.
- Proficiency in Office 365, Microsoft Teams, OneDrive, SharePoint, Adobe Creative Suite, and VPNs.
- Basic familiarity with MacOS and phone operating systems.
- Ability to clearly communicate technical and non-technical information.
- Capable of supporting diverse groups with varying levels of technical proficiency.
- Understanding of LAN/WAN network infrastructure.
- Strong problem-solving and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a team.
- Ability to document technical processes and troubleshooting steps.
- Commitment to quality and strong multitasking skills.
Compensation
The full salary range for this position is $28.00 – 33.00 per hour. We aim to hire new employees between $28.00 - $31.00 per hour (depending on experience) allowing for future compensation growth within the range based on aptitude in the role, context, progress, and performance against goals over time.
