Our summer internship program provides students with hands-on professional experience, networking opportunities, and access to SC&H fun while honing essential skills for early career success. For 10-weeks spanning June to August, our interns work on diverse client projects and receive guided mentorship in one of our many unique service lines. Our internship is in-person at one of our offices 4x a week with an average work week of 30-32 hours.
As a member of our Strategy & Transaction team, you will:
- Conduct industry and company research to support strategic decision-making for clients.
- Assist in developing strategic plans for M&A transactions, including evaluating potential synergies, market positioning, and long-term growth opportunities
- Participate in meetings with clients, internal teams, and external advisors to discuss strategy, planning, and integration progress
- Analyze financial statements and performance metrics to evaluate companies and identify key drivers of value
- Conduct market and competitive analysis to support strategic recommendations and integration planning
- Help assess organizational structures, operational efficiencies, and identify potential integration risks and opportunities
- Support the creation of financial models to quantify strategic synergies, cost savings, and revenue enhancement opportunities
- Participate in the due diligence process by gathering and analyzing financial, operational, and market data
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop integration roadmaps and timelines, ensuring smooth execution of post-merger integration strategies
- Assist in the preparation of integration presentations, executive summaries, and status reports for internal and external stakeholders
- Assist with the development of integration playbooks, communication strategies, and change management processes
- Monitor and track post-merger performance, reporting on integration progress and identifying key metrics for success
- Monitor and summarize market trends, news, and regulatory developments affecting M&A activity
Requirements:
- GPA of 3.2 or above
- Previous successful business experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Ability to produce an outstanding work product or deliverable
- Reliable transportation to our Sparks, MD location

Salary & Benefits
The rate for this position is $30 per hour. Salary offers are made based on a variety of candidate specific factors such as candidate's skills, performance, job responsibilities, prior relevant experience, certain degrees and certifications and market considerations.
