PURPOSE OF POSITION
Produce defined quantity of parts and components according to company and customer specifications.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The following duties are normal for this position. These are not to be construed as exclusive or all inclusive. Other duties may be required and assigned.
More specifically, the employee owner will:
- Operate CNC machines, including lathes and mills, to produce precision components according to specifications.
- Set up CNC machines by installing fixtures, tooling, workpieces, and setting machine parameters (e.g., speeds, feeds, and offsets).
- Troubleshoot machine issues, altering programs or machine settings to ensure efficient and accurate operations.
- Inspect and measure finished products using precision instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges to ensure they meet specifications.
- Make necessary adjustments to machinery to improve product quality or production efficiency.
- Perform routine maintenance on CNC machines, including cleaning, lubrication, and part replacement, to ensure the longevity of the equipment.
- Identify and resolve mechanical or technical issues with machines to minimize downtime.
- Communicate machine performance, production issues, or potential improvements to management.
- Machine components to the proper dimensions and tolerances.
- Use and understand various paperwork including schedules, prints, and tech standards.
- As business needs arise, complete assignments in other areas and related task assignments in work areas under the guidance of lead or supervisor.
- Comprehend and follow directions from supervisor.
- Continually participate in additional training related to the job.
QUALIFICATIONS

- Be able to demonstrate proficiency in reviewing and understanding electronic or written blueprints and/or specifications.

- Must to be able to read and interpret blueprints.
- Effectively communicate and understand job instructions both verbally and written.
- Ability to perform basic mathematical computations.
- Possess knowledge of machine tools.
- Ability to take accurate measurements with calipers and micrometers.
- Demonstrate regular, consistent attendance.
EDUCATION – EXPERIENCE – COMPUTER SKILLS
- High school diploma or a general education degree (GED); or
- One to three months related experience and/or training; or
- Equivalent combination of education and experience.

- Specific hearing abilities required for this job include the ability to hear equipment alarms and the ability to hear instructions from others.
ENVIRONMENTAL ADAPTABILITY
- The noise level in the work environment is usually LOUD.
- Frequently exposed to wet or humid conditions(non-weather), work near moving mechanical parts, fumes, or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and vibration.
- Occasionally exposed to outdoor weather conditions, and risk of electrical shock.
- Steel-toe safety shoes, safety glasses, and hearing protection.
