What we are looking for

SCS Engineers is looking for a Senior Project Scientist for our Muskego, Wisconsin, office. You will be expected to prepare both draft and final reports and work with your project team prior to providing such deliverables to private and municipal clients. You will serve as a delegated project lead on one or more projects. Your work will focus on environmental compliance, including planning, permitting, and reporting for groundwater, leachate, landfill gas, air, stormwater, and so on.

How you can make an impact

Coordinate and manage field work associated with client projects.
Lead, mentor, and manage junior level staff.
Delegate portions of project deliverables to staff for completion.
Serve as the primary lead and point of contact for smaller scope projects.
Prepare proposals and associated cost estimates.
Record data during field work, which could include, but not limited to: soil characteristics, lithology, groundwater or surface water data, landfill leachate, landfill gas, photographs, or summaries of visual observations through photograph and written field logs in accordance with standard operating procedures as needed.
Evaluate and interpret data recorded during field work for reporting purposes and to determine future project needs.
Act as client liaison when needed by communicating with clients for field work coordination, project updates, reporting, design document status, permitting status, and meetings.
Prepare reports such as emissions, groundwater, leachate, and compliance reporting.
Lead applicable permit processing/regulatory agency coordination efforts.
Review technical documents to ensure completeness and conformance to requirements.
Lead or have an active role in client prospecting and developing and executing client plans, sales plans, and key opportunity plans.

Qualifications

Bachelors of Science degree in Engineering or Science required.
Minimum of 6 years of relevant environmental experience required.
40 Hour HAZWOPER preferred.
Valid Driver's License with a driving record in good standing required.
