Position Summary:

As a Claim Assistant at CCMSI, you will support claim personnel and other team members with general clerical duties. Your role will be essential in maintaining the quality of claim service provided to CCMSI clients, upholding Corporate Claim Standards, and supporting team-specific service commitments. This position is ideal for someone who is highly organized, attentive to detail, and capable of handling a dynamic workload with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

Process and organize mail for assigned accounts.
Follow up on billing inquiries and payments.
File claim documents and set up new claim files as requested.
Serve as back-up for the receptionist.
Summarize and log correspondence and medical records in claim files.
Retrieve and re-file closed files in storage.
Support claim staff with tasks specific to client accounts.
Copy claim documents and return provider calls as directed.
Maintain organized claim storage.
Perform other duties as assigned to meet team goals and client needs.

Qualifications

Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
Experience: Previous clerical or administrative experience is a plus.
Skills:
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Effective oral and written communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs.
- Ability to operate general office equipment.
- Discretion and confidentiality in handling sensitive information.
- Self-motivation and reliability, with the capability to work well both independently and as part of a team.

Working Conditions:

Physical Demands: Must be able to lift/carry objects up to 35 pounds regularly; ability to sit or stand for extended periods and sufficient auditory and visual acuity to interact with others effectively.
