IT Project Manager Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced IT Project Manager to lead and manage IT projects from inception to completion, ensuring the successful delivery of technology solutions that meet business needs and objectives. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in IT project management, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality results on time and within budget.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Planning & Execution:
- Lead and manage the planning, execution, and delivery of IT projects, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and objectives.
- Define project scope, goals, deliverables, and timelines in collaboration with stakeholders.
- Develop and manage detailed project plans, including scheduling, resource allocation, and risk management.
- Coordinate and oversee project teams, ensuring effective communication and task delegation.
- Stakeholder Management:
- Serve as the main point of contact for stakeholders, providing regular updates on project status, risks, and issues.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including business leaders, IT teams, vendors, and external partners.
- Facilitate stakeholder meetings, presentations, and project reviews to ensure alignment and manage expectations.
- Budget & Resource Management:
- Manage project budgets, ensuring projects are delivered within financial constraints.
- Coordinate the allocation of resources, including personnel, technology, and budget, to ensure optimal project execution.
- Identify and resolve resource constraints, ensuring projects stay on track.
- Risk Management & Problem Solving:
- Identify potential risks and issues that may impact project delivery, and develop strategies to mitigate or resolve them.
- Proactively address project challenges, escalating issues when necessary to ensure timely resolution.
- Continuously monitor project progress and make adjustments as needed to maintain timelines and quality.
- Quality Assurance:
- Ensure that project deliverables meet quality standards and align with business requirements.
- Conduct post-project reviews and capture lessons learned to improve future project delivery processes.
- Team Leadership:
- Lead, mentor, and motivate project teams, providing guidance and support throughout the project lifecycle.
- Foster a collaborative, results-driven environment that encourages innovation and problem-solving.
- Ensure effective communication among team members and between teams to ensure timely delivery and resolution of project issues.
- Documentation & Reporting:
- Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including project plans, schedules, budgets, meeting notes, and issue logs.
- Prepare and deliver regular status reports to senior management and other stakeholders, highlighting progress, risks, and mitigation strategies.
- Vendor & Third-Party Management:
- Manage relationships with external vendors, contractors, and third-party service providers, ensuring that deliverables are met on time and to specification.
- Negotiate contracts and service level agreements (SLAs) with vendors as needed.
Qualifications:
- Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or related field.
- Project Management certification (PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent) is preferred.
- Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT project management, with a proven track record of successfully delivering complex IT projects.
- Experience managing cross-functional teams and coordinating with business and technical stakeholders.
- Strong experience with project management tools (e.g., Planner, Microsoft Teams/Sharepoint, and Loop) and methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, etc.).
- Experience with cloud technologies, software development projects, and IT infrastructure is a plus.

- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Solid understanding of IT systems, software development life cycles (SDLC), and infrastructure technologies.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Knowledge of budget management and financial tracking for IT projects.
- Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in managing large-scale IT transformations or infrastructure projects.
- Familiarity with DevOps, Agile methodologies, and software development best practices.
- Knowledge of IT security principles and best practices in project management.
- Ability to manage projects across different geographies or in a global context.
