Job Summary: We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Quality Technician ll to support our manufacturing operations. This role will focus on the introduction of new parts and processes, ensuring compliance with quality standards, and providing technical support to both our team and customers. This position will work second shift with standard working hours of 2:45pm-12:45am, Monday–Thursday.

Essential Responsibilities:

Lead Quality Engineering support for new or revised parts and processes.
Create, maintain, and support CMM/SmartScope programs, including designing and maintaining fixturing.
Develop specific work instructions to assist manufacturing operations.
Manage project feasibility from pre-production planning to new product launch.
Serve as a liaison to customers regarding measurement alignment, technical questions, and drawing interpretation.
Inspect production parts and conduct in-process inspections and feature reports.
Verify first pieces, conduct Gage R&R, CPK studies, and PPAPs.
Assist machinists in resolving programming and process issues.
Support machine tool programmers with GD&T specifications.
Update and maintain measurement programs.
Collaborate with machinists to prove out new parts and prototypes.
Assist with internal auditing and training new employees.
Maintain professional knowledge through workshops and publications.
Master all operations on the skills matrix within the assigned cell.
Ensure accurate documentation and data entry.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Strong understanding of CMM programming, GD&T tolerancing, and machining processes.
Proficiency in CMM programming software and SolidWorks or equivalent.
Knowledge of Quality Management System tools and statistical techniques.
Excellent computer data entry and basic computer skills.
Strong problem-solving and interpersonal skills.
Effective written and verbal communication with a professional demeanor.
Detail-oriented with strong planning and organizational skills.
Experience with technology integration and statistical software.
High school diploma or equivalent (required).
Valid driver’s license.
5+ years of CMM programming experience (preferred).
5+ years of experience creating CMM inspection programs using Calypso software (preferred).
5+ years of experience in a machine shop or similar manufacturing environment (required).
ASQ CQPA certification or willingness to obtain within the first year (required).
Experience with traditional inspection tools and CMM operations (required).
Experience in cleaning, calibrating, and maintaining measurement equipment.
