Bardenay, Inc. is a 100% employee-owned restaurant and distillery headquartered in Boise, Idaho. The company was founded in 1999 and historically was issued the first permit from the Federal Government to distill spirits in a public space. In 2000, Bardenay was the first establishment to serve a cocktail using spirits made on the premise. The company now has four locations across Idaho.
Bardenay became employee-owned in 2021 when they implemented an Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP). Employee ownership reinforces the company's commitment to detail and rewards employees for the part they play in Bardenay's success.
