Jim’s Formal Wear Inc (JFW) is a 100% employee-owned formal wear company headquartered in Trenton, IL. Founded in 1964, JFW s the largest independent provider of men's formal wear services in the United States, and has a network of seven service centers and eight delivery hubs across the country. JFW carries all garment types necessary for formal occasions, including weddings, proms, quinceañeras and other special events. JFW has expanded over the years into a nationwide distributor of rental and retail formal wear garments to more than 4,500 independent retailers. JFW currently employs 500+ full-time team members and staff in addition to seasonal employees.
JFW became100% employee-owned in 2025 when they implemented an Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP). This change strengthens JFW's long-term commitment to its employees and its customers. Their leadership chose to transition ownership to employees as a way to honor their dedication, talent, and hard work. This move also empowers the team to take an active role in shaping and participating in the benefits of our future growth while preserving the principles and culture that define JFW.
