Landscape Structures Inc. is a 100% employee-owned commercial playground design and manufacturing company headquartered in Delano, Minnesota. Founded in 1971 by Steve and Barb King, the company pioneered the concept of "continuous play," revolutionizing playground design. Today, Landscape Structures operates manufacturing facilities in Delano and Dallas, Texas, and collaborates with a global network of consultants to deliver innovative play environments worldwide. Their product offerings include inclusive playground equipment, nature-inspired designs, and commercial shade structures.
In 2004, Landscape Structures initiated an Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP), transitioning to full employee ownership by 2012. This move was driven by the founders' desire to share the company's success with its employees and to foster a culture of ownership and accountability.
