PFSbrands is a 100% employee-owned company in the foodservice industry headquartered in Holts Summit, Missouri. Serving as the parent company to a growing portfolio of hot food programs and retail brands, PFSbrands operates nationally with products in more than 2,350 convenience stores and supermarkets. Its franchise brands include Champs Chicken®, Hangar 54 Pizza, and BluTaco, while license brands include Cooper’s Express, Hot Mex Express, and Wingman Pizza.
PFSbrands became employee-owned in 2015 through the launch of its Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP) and now has over 520 active employee-owners. The company’s ownership culture is strengthened by its Open Book Leadership model, which promotes transparency, business literacy, and shared responsibility for results. This structure has helped drive innovation and expansion, including the opening of the first stand-alone Champs Chicken restaurant in Columbia, MO, the acquisition of Moser’s Grocery Stores, and the creation of PFSblends and GRITT Business Coaching.
