Whitaker Construction is an employee-owned commercial construction company headquartered in Brigham City, Utah. The company was founded by Jim Whitaker in 1953, whose humble beginnings have become respected contractors in the intermountain areas. Today, their services include sanitary sewer, storm drain, culinary water, irrigation, earthwork, roadway construction, dams, landfills, natural gas pipelines, industrial piping, and telecommunications projects. They operate in Utah, Idaho, Nevada, Wyoming, Colorado, Oregon and Washington.
In 2007, Whitaker Construction became employee-owned when they implemented an Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP). As an employee-owned company, hardworking employees directly reap the rewards of their labor.
