Basic Purpose and Scope:
This position will oversee the day-to-day sanitation operations; meeting all established levels of plant cleanliness and sanitation to ensure the production of safe, quality food. Directs and coordinates activities of all sanitation department workers on all shifts.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
- Perform all job duties and operations in a safe manner, while following all federal, state, and Litehouse regulations and policies - Always
- Ensures plant sanitation effectiveness of sanitation shift personnel, maintaining established levels of cleanliness and sanitation for plant; i.e., GMP, Safety, and other plant policies. Responsible for operations of the crew; monitors performance, deals with employee relations, assigns work and maintains crew schedule - 40%
- Signs off on completion of master sanitation schedule - 20%
- Maintains daily sheet for equipment scheduled to be cleaned - 10%
- Makes concessions on procedures that need to be altered when equipment isn't functioning properly - 10%
- Updates SSOPs as required - 10%
- Completes annual performance evaluations - 10%
- Manages safety programs including adherence to food safety guidelines - Ongoing
- Ensures team is trained and maintains training documentation - Ongoing
- Maintain and manage inventory of chemicals, sanitation supplies, sanitation budget compliance, and labor tracking - Ongoing
- Partner and oversee chemical supplier to find solutions to for sanitation and ensure support and Manage 3rd party custodial service, as required by facility - Ongoing
- Maintains open communication with other department supervisors in order to monitor all shifts - Ongoing
- Ensures compliance with Food safety and quality guidelines - Ongoing
- Reviews and monitors proper completion of master sanitation documents weekly - Ongoing
- Completes work orders as needed - Ongoing
- Responsibility to adhere to Food Safety policies and report food safety and quality concerns to their supervisor - Ongoing

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED TO PERFORM WORK:
- Education: High school diploma or general education degree (GED). Equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted
- Experience: 5 years of manufacturing sanitation experience
- Knowledge of HACCP, GMP's, CIP and other sanitation practices
- Must be an authority on procedures
- Relies on experience and judgement to plan and accomplish goals
- Proficient with computers, including programs such as MS Office
- Read / Interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
- Must have strong verbal and written communications skills with ability to express ideas professionally, effectively and efficiently in the common language
- Mathematical skills
- Ability to establish & maintain effective working relationships with all contacts inside and outside of the company with strong interpersonal and organizational skills
Travel Requirements:
- Travel up to 5% of the time should be expected
- Travel may be required with little prior warning and/or for extended periods of time. Off-site deployment of up to 1 week could be expected
