We are looking for a strategic and people-first retail leader to join our team as the Store Manager for the Washington DC (WADC) market. In this role, you will oversee two showrooms: our 36,000 sq. ft. flagship WADC metro showroom, a vital part of the Logan Circle/U Street Corridor community since 2010, and our 6,000 sq. ft. Bethesda showroom, a satellite location that opened in 2021 in the esteemed Bethesda Row. You will be based out of and spend most of your time in the WADC metro showroom.
As the Store Manager (known as Retail Market Manager in our organization), you'll oversee a dynamic market generating over $30M annually. You'll motivate and inspire a dedicated team of 4 leaders and 23 diverse design, sales, and retail professionals across both showrooms, all working collaboratively to help customers create the homes and spaces they love. Both showrooms feature inspirational room settings and home décor, as well as free in-store design services.

You'll take full responsibility for creating an exceptional omni-channel customer experience that ensures the success of the WADC market, empowering you to make strategic decisions and implement innovative solutions tailored to meet the unique needs of your customers and team.

The qualifications and experiences we're seeking as a Retail Store Manager:
Given the scope and autonomy of this retail store manager role, we are seeking a strategic-minded leader who is passionate about retail, leading teams and delivering exceptional customer service. You'll bring a minimum of 10 years of leadership experience and a proven track record of inspiring high-performing teams in customer-centric, high-sales environments.

- Drive the financial success of the WADC market with accountability for market sales, including revenue generated in the store, online, through our Customer Care and commercial Room and Board for Business channels.
- Lead, inspire and develop the WADC showroom team to continually grow in their, confidence and contributions.
- Oversee showroom merchandising to meet the needs of the WADC customer base.
- Create and host meaningful store events or event sponsorships that provide opportunities for us to strengthen relationships with existing customers and reach new customers.
- Bring an openness to innovative ways of working, including using new technologies, as we keep pace with the changing needs of our customers and business operations.
- Cultivate meaningful relationships grounded in mutual respect throughout the organization to enhance your effectiveness as both a leader and a valuable contributor to our collective success.
- Schedule: Tuesday-Saturday, with Sundays and Mondays off or Sunday-Thursday with Fridays and Saturdays off (rotation and hours vary to meet the needs of the business)

Note: This role is fully on-site, with an average commitment of 45 hours per week.

- Salary: $125,000.00 - $150,000.00 / yr. (Salary* depending on scope of experiences/qualifications; salary listed includes annual bonus)
