Tech sales manager job supporting our sales team in MO/KS and IL
Work directly with Hyspeco business unit manager.
Manage our Tool Lab and responsibilities include Professional Sales Calls with the sales team, manage the calibration business, manage trial and demo tool inventory, manage project installations, manage tech support either online, phone or in person.

Duties as the Technician Sales Manager. 5 primary components: Sales, Training, Engineering Support, Calibrations, Installation Services.

Sell advanced assembly tools to plants while leading and supporting our sales team. If requested, provide onsite installations of our products including the integration of our tools into the customers MES system and setting up peripheral devices as needed. Devices include bar code scanners, socket tray, bit trays, Andon lights, sensors, etc..
Install a level of trust and confidence with our customers that if they choose Hyspeco for their assembly vendor that we are committed to assist them on every product and project. Become the “trusted advisor”.
Assist our sales team in demonstrating products that prove out the quality and ergonomic benefits of each tool. Make the correct recommendations to the end user that provides the value they are looking for. Work closely with our vendor reps to support our business. Work closely with the Business Unit Manager to determine a strategy for growth.
Set up and complete product trainings with the Business Unit Manager for our sales team and for our customers at our Kansas City lab or at the customers’ shop.
Give professional empirically supported recommendations on the best tool for the job based on our product offerings and prove that this is the best value for the customer.
Stay up to date on all Hyspeco’s vendors (Kolver, Desoutter, Ingersoll Rand, Desoutter, Panasonic and Makita assembly tools) product software, firmware, and programing. Provide training for the sales force to make sure they have the tools needed and understanding of how to program tools at the end user.
Daily work including taking phone calls, e mails and texts to support any problems or programing issues that our customers may have with products we have sold them. Visit customers’ plants when it is necessary. We have customers all over the country, but primarily these visits are in Kansas, Missouri and Southern, IL
Calibrate assembly tools and torque wrenches at our location here in KC using our Desoutter Delta Cart. Keep the transducers on the cart and in the lab up to date. Visit our customers’ locations to complete calibrations on site. Learn the ISO5393 and ISO6789 methods of calibration and provide certificates of calibration for each tool.
As needed, Kansas City LAB calibration work including, building special brackets or tools used in the calibration of special tools, oversized tools and for demonstrating products at the customer. Building kits, and assembling and calibrating special heads that are part of these kits.
Triage tools sent to the Kansas City lab to determine what may be broken and needs to be done to fix them, learn to repair DC electric tools, in particular Stanley assembly technology tools so that we can support Briggs and Stratton.
