This position will report to BBEC, LLC, a subsidiary of HB Global. Position Requirements: To perform this job successfully, the Foreman must be able to perform each Essential Duty successfully. Identify the developmental needs of others and coach, mentor, or otherwise help others to improve their knowledge or skills Read specifications, blueprints, and submittal data to determine construction requirements or to plan procedures. Interpret the meaning of this information for others by translating or explaining what the information means and how it can be used. Confer with project manager & estimators, or other contractors to resolve problems or to coordinate activities. Estimate material or worker requirements to complete jobs. Conduct periodic inspections of each person's work to verify safety and ensure that all codes and specifications are being met. Developing specific goals and plans to prioritize, organize, and accomplish your work. while getting members of your team to work together to accomplish tasks by encouraging and building mutual trust, respect, and cooperation among team members. Handling complaints, settling disputes, and resolving grievances and conflicts, or otherwise negotiating with others. Essential Duty Requirements: Ability to communicate is perhaps the most important skill that a supervisor requires. You need to transmit information and instructions in a clear and effective manner to people who may not understand due to experience or educational differences. Ensuring that the person you are talking to fully understands what you are saying is a vital skill. Thorough knowledge of the practices, methods, equipment, materials, and tools of the electrical trade. Thorough knowledge of the occupational hazards and safety precautions of the work and demonstrable commitment to safety. Ability to supervise the work of skilled workers. Considerable knowledge of the National Electrical Code for electrical installations. Ability to interpret and work from instructions, penciled plans and sketches, submittals, and blue prints. Ability to estimate sizes, distances, and quantities; or determining labor, time, resources, or materials needed to perform a work activity. Flexibility, able to adapt and comply with Company/Client requirements. Ability to work with, interact with other trades Has a desire to learn and develop within the role Supervisory Requirements: Journeymen and Apprentices report to the Foreman while working on their respective projects. Relationship Requirements: This position will represent BBEC, Inc. in a professional, cordial manner at all times to ensure customer and employee satisfaction. The Foreman reports to the Project Manager and the Field Operations Manager. Physical Requirements: Ability to work in all elements, depending on job location, time of year, heat, cold, rain or snow. Must be able to utilize construction site sanitary facilities Job requires employee to have required personal tools with them at all times Work from all types of ladders Perform work at various heights, up to 90’ from ladders, scaffolds, aerial lifts, cat walks or other safe work areas Work in restricted areas (switchgear room, manholes, utility tunnels, crawl spaces, attics) Wear personal protective equipment at all times – hard hat and safety glasses Repetitive use of arms, hands and fingers Able to work eight (8) hour days, forty (40) hour weeks and overtime as required plus night shift if applicable Must be able to climb, bend, stoop, squat, crawl, kneel, balance, push, pull and reach overhead Lift 50 pounds Possess good vision – normal or corrected Welcome!
