Cashier

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Removes groceries from carts, conveyor belt, scans for price or places on scale to weigh, bags orders, accepts payment and makes change. Occasionally will assist customer to vehicle with groceries and load groceries into vehicle. Assist in unloading deliveries, stocking shelves and general cleaning around the store. Also face shelves, sweep floor or clean around check stand area.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Use fingers, hands, arms and legs.
Use a 10 key, and basic math.
Continuous standing in one area.
Lifting/carrying of items of weight up to 20 lbs.
Use of intercom or telephone.
Pushing and pulling grocery carts.
Stocking of shelves.

DESIRED, NON-ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Use of box knife.
Check groceries at check stand by scanning items.
Remove groceries from belt/cart.
Bag groceries.
Lifting of items 20 to 50 lbs.
Help customers to car with groceries.
Accept payment and make change.
