POSITION PURPOSE
The primary responsibility of the Accounting Clerk is to support a project focused on high-volume data entry and financial record updates. The Accounting Clerk will support Corporate Accounting with various tasksby applying Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and critical thinking.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS (Including but not limited to)

Enter high-volume financial data into accounting systems with accuracy and speed.
Review source documents for completeness, clarity, and compliance with established standards
Flag inconsistencies and escalate issues to the Financial Reporting Manager as needed.
Assist with basic reconciliations and verification tasks to support the project’s objectives.
Prepare and enter monthly journal entries for General Ledger
Follow internal controls, confidentiality requirements, and data‑quality standards.
Support the corporate accounting team with additional administrative or project‑related duties as assigned.

Specific Job Knowledge, Skill, and Ability

The individual must possess the following knowledge, skills and abilities and be able to explain and demonstrate that he or she can perform the essential functions of the job.

Must be proficient with Microsoft Office applications, specifically needing Intermediate/Advanced skills with Microsoft Excel.
Experience with Viewpoint Software or an equivalent ERP system is required.
Must have excellent written and spoken communication skills.
Must be detail oriented and have the ability to work under pressure and strict deadlines.

EDUCATION
AA degree in Accounting preferred.

EXPERIENCE

2 + years’ experience as an accounting clerk, preferably in a Construction or Manufacturing environment

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Most time spent in an indoor office environment
Sitting at a desk for prolonged periods of time
Occasional lifting of files and boxes up to 20 lbs
Pushing/pulling of file cabinets
Extended visual use of a computer screen
Frequent typing
Occasional travel

Hourly Range: $27-31

Relocation assistance will be provided to candidates outside of the local area on a case-by-case basis.
