MSA, a leading consulting firm, is hiring a Survey Technician II at our Rhinelander, WI office location!

This position is primarily field-based, with an MSA vehicle available for project activity. While most projects are in the Greater Rhinelander area, occasional overnights are expected.

Responsibilities
WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Field work, including staking and surveying
- Perform other office functions, including data reduction/computations, digital terrain modeling/surface creation
- Assist project managers in the preparation of land survey documents
- CAD drafting for municipal infrastructure projects
- Assist in municipal plan preparation
Qualifications
WHAT YOU BRING
- An associate’s or bachelor’s degree in surveying, civil engineering technology, or related degree preferred
- High school diploma or GED required
- Surveyor in Training (SIT), or Certified Survey Technician (CST) preferred
- A valid driver’s license is required
- 4+ years of prior experience with land surveying experience required
- Previous experience with AutoCad/Civil 3D is preferred
- The selected candidate must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S. without requiring visa sponsorship now or in the future. We are unable to provide or take over sponsorship of an employment visa for this role.
The pay rate for this position ranges from $24 to $38 per hour, commensurate with experience. Higher compensation within this range will be paid to candidates with significant experience and exceptional qualifications.

- Short Term Incentive (STIP) – This program rewards employees who meet performance goals with a one-time annual STIP payment as a percentage of their eligible compensation — recognition of individual accomplishments and achieving organizational goals. STIP payments are awarded if MSA reaches its corporate financial plan for the year.
