In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:
- Work with strategic procurement colleagues to develop new supply sources to support existing and new product requirements.
- Develop and implement spend management strategies, including supplier assessments, rationalization, and negotiation for the best total cost of ownership.
- Prepare, co-develop, and review the reverse auction process with Commodity Managers, including detailed bid information, analysis of detailed results, negotiation, and execution of contracts within budgetary limitations and scope of authority.
- Provide recommendations to management related to commodity cost trends, material availability, production options, and alternatives.
- Collaborate with both internal and external legal counsel.
- Ensure up-to-date and manage changes in the procurement database.

For This Role, You Will Need:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Computer, Electronics and Communications, Chemical, Industrial, Mechanical, or other Engineering-related courses.
- At least 5 years of relevant experience in procurement within the manufacturing industry or in a supply chain role in a shared services industry.
- Knowledgeable in mechanical and electrical/electronic commodities and can interpret engineering drawings and datasheets (specifications).
- Knowledgeable in environmental legislations (e.g., ROHS, REACH, etc.).
- Fair understanding of Supply Chain concepts and project management principles.
- Basic understanding of procurement systems and tools (ERP, MRP, SRM).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs such as PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook
- Strong oral and written communication skills and basic understanding of online reverse auctions.
