Installer - Athletic Flooring

We are looking to hire an athletic flooring installer who are willing to travel and who are responsible for installing athletic, wood, and/or rubbing flooring while operating basic tools and flooring equipment. This position is responsible for providing service and customer support during field visits or dispatches.

Responsibilities:

Installing and maintenance of athletic, wood, and/or rubber flooring in athletic buildings.
Uses and maintain basic flooring tools.
Meeting with clients and inspecting sites to determine the best flooring solution for the client’s needs.
Willingness to learn and receive instruction/direction from managers and project managers.
Ability to communicate well with project managers and supervisors.
Foster positive teamwork relationships with fellow employee-owners.
Knowledge of tools and basic operating use.
Follow established safety rules and regulations including PPE and OSHA standards.
Inspect and clean surface in preparation for material.
Requires day travel and overnight travel in and out of the state on a weekly basis.
- Traveling all over Iowa, Nebraska, North and South Dakota, and other neighboring states

Qualifications:

Must have a valid driver’s license and/or reliable transportation.
Successfully pass a pre-employment drug test and physical
Motivated and reliable with a strong work ethic.
Possess a strong attention to detail and high accuracy.
Organized and capable of meeting deadlines as an individual or as a team
Positively represent the company.
Must be punctual, presentable, professional.
Must leave all projects 100% complete, clean and documented.
Must be able to take, and follow directions given by a Service Manager or Operations manager.
Ability to read schematics and shop drawings.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to lift 50 lbs
Stand or walk for 8+ hours
Must have ability to lift both arms overhead
Must possess keen vision and hearing
Ability to work outdoors, indoors in extreme temperatures, in confined spaces, high places and in excavated areas
Must be able to climb a ladder, scaffolding and stairs
Must be able to kneel, stoop and squat often
Arm, hand & finger dexterity with both hands involved in activities such as reaching, handling and feeling
Ability to use hands and power tools
May work around chemicals, near grinding and torching, and near cranes and moving equipment
Will work in close contact with other people

Working Conditions:

This position requires occasional daily projects that are further than 50 miles from our regional office
This position may require overnight stays for 1-4 nights on projects 150 miles or further from our office
