What You’ll Do
As an Industrial Project Manager I, you’ll lead small- to mid-size industrial projects with a strong focus on process-oriented facilities and chemical/industrial operations—owning scope, schedule, budget, and quality while coordinating multidisciplinary teams in active manufacturing and plant environments.
- Lead small- to mid-size industrial projects involving process systems, utility infrastructure, facility improvements, and plant support systems
- Serve as the primary day-to-day contact between the client and SSR’s design team for assigned projects.
- Coordinate multidisciplinary teams supporting industrial projects, including process/chemical, mechanical, electrical, structural, civil, controls, and other specialty disciplines as needed.
- Help define project scope, execution plans, and deliverables for projects in food manufacturing, chemical/process, renewables, petroleum, industrial plant, or similar heavy process environments.
- Run project kickoffs and communicate scope, schedule expectations, and design deliverables clearly to internal teams and client stakeholders.
- Develop staffing plans and man-hour budgets with the Senior PM, CRM, Department Head, or Operations Director; assist with cost and man-hour estimates.
- Build project schedules that account for active facility operations, shutdown windows, equipment lead times, utility tie-ins, and phased construction constraints.
- Manage project financials including budgeting, forecasting, change management, and administration of additional-services fees when needed.
- Track risks to quality, schedule, constructability, and client operations; escalate issues and drive corrective action with the design team.
- Support QA/QC planning and execution to ensure design documents are accurate, coordinated, and appropriate for industrial/process applications.
- Ensure documentation is complete and properly stored throughout the project lifecycle, including project files, meeting notes, decision logs, and closeout materials.
- Continue building technical and project delivery knowledge related to industrial/process facilities, plant operations, and process-driven design environments.

- Direct experience supporting industrial projects involving process equipment, chemical/process piping, utility systems, plant infrastructure, or brownfield/live-facility work
- Experience working with food manufacturing, chemical, renewables, petroleum clients, construction of mid-size industrial plants, or power stations is strongly preferred
Preferred Qualifications

- Basic competency in AutoCAD and other visualization software applications such as Microsoft Visio and Project.
- Understanding of project management practices and business operations in industrial/process project delivery environments.
- Thorough knowledge of project financial activities including budgeting, projections, and reporting.
- Familiarity with active industrial facilities, process-driven projects, phased construction, and coordinating work around plant operations.
- Ability to interpret and manage project scope associated with process equipment, utility systems, piping modifications, facility upgrades, and production support spaces.
- Strong presentation, written communication, technical writing, and speech clarity; active listening and interpersonal skills.
