Job Description
In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:
- Assemble manual, actuated, and automated valves, actuators, positioners, and associated flow control equipment in line with drawings, work instructions, and quality plans.
- Test valves and pump equipment using workshop test rigs and equipment to ensure products meet specification and customer requirements.
- Select and use appropriate hand tools, power tools, and components safely and effectively.
- Interpret technical drawings, quality documentation, and special instructions to determine correct assembly and testing processes.
- Record time, job progress, and required documentation in accordance with Emerson quality systems and workplace processes.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organised work area, including shared spaces and equipment.
- Comply with all Emerson and customer health, safety, environmental, and quality procedures.
- Participate in daily huddles, planning meetings, and toolbox talks, contributing ideas and raising issues early to support team outcomes.
- Collaborate with colleagues across operations, quality, and service teams to deliver reliable products and continuous improvement.

For This Role, You Will Need:
- Practical experience in mechanical assembly, repair, or refurbishment of valves, pumps, or similar industrial equipment.
- Ability to read and work from technical drawings, quality plans, and work instructions.
- Experience using hand and power tools in a workshop or manufacturing environment.
- A strong commitment to health, safety, and environmental practices.
- Attention to detail and a quality‑focused approach to work.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness to follow standard processes, record work accurately, and contribute to a tidy, safe workplace.
Preferred Qualifications That Set You Apart:
- Trade qualification or equivalent practical experience in mechanical or industrial equipment assembly.
- Experience with quality assurance systems and structured production environments.
- Forklift licence, dogging ticket, or other relevant high‑risk work licences.
- Familiarity with SAP or similar enterprise systems.
