Schedule: On-site | Monday–Friday | 6:30 AM – 3:30 PM
Position Summary
The EHS Specialist plays a key role in supporting day-to-day environmental, health, and safety activities at the site, with a focus on incident management, employee training, and maintaining a safe, compliant work environment.
This is a hands-on role that partners closely with site leadership, employees, HR, and the broader EHS team to drive safety awareness, support compliance efforts, and ensure follow-through on key initiatives.
This position is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, proactive, and looking to gain experience in EHS within a structured and supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities
Incident Management & Follow-Through
- Support the incident reporting process, including documentation, investigation participation, and corrective action tracking
- Partner with site leaders and HR to identify root causes and support practical corrective actions
- Monitor corrective actions to completion and escalate risks or delays as needed
- Apply sound judgment when assessing risk and determining when to escalate
Training & Employee Engagement
- Deliver monthly EHS training sessions aligned to site and regulatory requirements
- Identify training gaps and support development of site-specific content
- Track and report training completion and effectiveness
- Provide coaching and support to employees in a positive, approachable manner
Compliance & Site Support
- Support regulatory compliance activities, including inspections, documentation, and follow-up
- Assist with audits, corrective actions, and site-level EHS initiatives
- Support small EHS projects in collaboration with the EHS team
- Participate in regular safety meetings with site leadership
Partnership & Communication
- Build strong working relationships with site leaders, HR, and employees
- Prepare for and participate in safety and EHS team meetings
- Communicate clearly, proactively, and professionally across stakeholders
Qualifications
Required:
- 2–5 years of experience in EHS, safety, or a related role within manufacturing, industrial, or similar environments
- Working knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and/or DOT requirements
- Experience supporting safety programs, incident tracking, training, or compliance activities
- Strong organizational skills and follow-through
- Ability to work independently while knowing when to escalate
- Effective communication and collaboration skills
- High School Diploma
Preferred:
- Bachelor’s degree in Safety, Environmental Science, Chemistry, or related field
- Professional certification (ASP, CSP, CHMM, CIH, or similar)
- Experience in a multi-site or team-based EHS environment
