Job Title: Plant Maintenance Supervisor
Position Summary: The Plant Supervisor will assist in maintaining the Wawa Dairy campus focusing on plant maintenance, facilities/grounds, security and the waste treatment facility. The Plant Supervisor will need to assure compliance with all regulatory requirements, troubleshoot bottlenecks in operation, assist with equipment design solutions to operating challenges, and lead continuous improvement programs for improved plant performance. Supervise team of union associates totaling up to 24.
Principal Duties:
- Work with the Facilities and Maintenance Manager to develop and enforce associate performance standards with Maintenance, and Facilities/grounds Grounds and Garage departments. Improve associate satisfaction within the guidelines of the Collective Bargaining Agreement. Assess staff requirements and evaluate the qualifications of union associates. Use discretion in handling Union and disciplinary matters.
- Determine standards and policies for installation, modification, testing, inspection and maintenance of equipment and machinery. Inspect plant and machinery to ensure optimum performance. Direct the maintenance of buildings and campus grounds. as well, and Mmanage standards and policies for environmental control.
- Direct and lead the activities of union and non-union associates.
- Ensure all quality, regulatory and related safety guidelines are being carried out by associates.
- Follow up on equipment downtime and prioritize and direct labor to minimize downtime.
- Responsible for maintaining the Maintenance Software Package (I-Maint). Creates and updates all “Master Information” within the I-Maint system, including but not limited to, parts, assets, vendors, schedules, task, etc.
- Manage spare parts inventory within I-Maint system and to ensure a safe, clean shop, with well-equipped and properly maintained inventory. This includes all ordering, receiving and organizing of spare parts room.
- Manage preventative maintenance schedule for all equipment. This includes creating and assigning work, closing out work orders and documenting other required work.
- Review work requests with management to determine work priorities for the maintenance team. Assigning and completing requests in a timely fashion.
- Responsible for cost center management. Oversee operating expenses and capital projects.
- Responsible for assisting with the overall efficiency of the plant and develop and implement processes for waste reduction.
- Participate in the discussions to develop recommendations to ensure the reliability of all plant equipment by mitigating the time between failures and maximizing the availability of over 50 plant subsystems.
- Lead in providing safety leadership for associates and training for onsite vendors and onsite contractors.
- Understand company policy, the CBA, applicable government regulations and ensure compliance. Participate in CBA negotiations.
- Provide overall direction and support for team and monitor and assess individual work in accordance with high standards of excellence. Provide feedback, coaching, support, opportunities for development, complete performance appraisals, take corrective action when appropriate, and participate in hiring decisions.

Basic Requirements:
- 5+ years hands-on experience in a manufacturing facility
- 3+ years of supervisory experience
- Working knowledge of logistics automation, specifically integrated controls and software for warehouse material handling
- 3rd Shift; 10pm - 6:30am
