We are currently seeking an Intermediate Computational Analyst/Mechanical Engineer in our Calgary office. Responsibilities

Stress analysis, mechanical design, and modeling associated with general static equipment (e.g., pressure vessels, coke drums, tanks, piping, floating structures, machine parts and assemblies, etc.) under various conditions
Application of fundamental structural analysis principles to verify numerical results
Develop special purpose in-house engineering programs & tools
Preparation of technical reports and proposals
Field visits to client facilities to examine client identified problems and to support business development
Independent management and coordination of projects, as well as providing support to other internal projects, as required
Client liaison and technical/capability presentations to current and potential clients
Participation in professional associations and preparation of papers/presentations

Qualifications

Professional Engineer with 5+ years of experience
Registered as a Professional Engineer with APEGA
Graduate degree in Mechanical or Structural Engineering (MSc or PhD)
Advanced experience with ABAQUS finite element package (Linear and Nonlinear)
Thorough knowledge of Python scripting
Proactive with excellent communication and organizational skills
A strong desire to learn and advance their career and our company
